The charming village of Guilden Sutton, less than 4 miles from Chester city centre was the location of the next development, Wood Farm. This location provided a presence nearer to Chester, increasing the Company's profile in the main city within our patch.
This development also provided an opportunity for the Company to extend our charitable aims. A family with a severely disabled child decided to purchase one of the homes and the property was fully adapted to meet their needs. Much of this adaptation was not only funded by Archway Homes but through the generosity of virtually all the professionals, suppliers and subcontractors who contributed their expertise, time and materials either at cost or free of charge.
Wood Farm was an exciting development of just ten homes in this sought-after village location, three of which provided much needed affordable housing to the area.
The remaining homes on this stunning development were four/five bedroom detached family homes traditionally built with style and elegance. They provided generous sized rooms and modern layouts that fulfilled the customers' requirements for a perfect family home.
This development saw the introduction of a number of new house types such as the Holly and the Lime which will enhance the range of mid-sized homes in the Company portfolio. Also, the Ash, the Acacia and the Aspen were designed to provide homes suitable for affordable housing providers. The Archway range is becoming very comprehensive and continues to enhance the needs of both customers and of the unique niche sites that typify an Archway Homes development.
Customer Comments - The standard of the house on completion was 'excellent' - a 'very high standard'.
