3. Data protection legislation

We will only use the personal information that you provide to us in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 (the "Act") and the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR). For the purposes of the Act and GDPR, we are the data controller.

4. Google Analytics

When someone visits we use Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

5. What we may do with your information

5.1. By providing any personal information this is considered your consent for us to use such personal information:

If you purchase a property from us we will retain your details to cover the customer care period. With some personal information we may have a legal obligation to keep it for a period decided by other organisations, for example HMRC.

We will not share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide to us without your prior consent, unless required to do so by law.

The people/organisations we may share your personal information with are:

a) our solicitor, in order to undertake the legal work involved in your house purchase;

b) the HCA if you choose to use Help to Buy, in which case we are the data processor and the HCA are the data controller;

c) Services companies during the handover process of a new home;

d) our suppliers or subcontractors, in order to facilitate any customer care work, following legal completion;

e) in the case of businesses or professionals who work with us - personal information may be shared with other professionals and organisations as necessary and appropriate for the work that is provided.

f) In the case of subcontractors or staff - personal information will be shared with HMRC. Additionally staff information may be shared in connection with staff benefits such as pension etc

If Archway Homes Ltd. or substantially all of our assets were acquired by a third party, personal details may be passed on to facilitate the ongoing obligations we have to our customers.

We may be required by law to share personal information, for example for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction, and with the police and other law enforcement agencies.
