A summer fun day in aid of Men’s Sheds and Claire House Children’s Hospice featured a hog roast, ice-cream van, bouncy castle and games was held at the company’s head office in Great Barrow.

Director Anne Pedley, explained: “We aim to make a positive difference by contributing to the communities we operate in. Claire House does a fantastic job of supporting children who are seriously ill and as a family run business  we felt it was a natural fit. We’re helping the hospice adapt toys for use by children with severe disabilities so that they can be switched on with only a simple press.

“We’re also continuing to support Men’s Sheds by linking with their Ellesmere Port Shed, having previously gifted materials to their Hartford Shed.”

The event was supported by contractors and suppliers including T&G Builders, AH Plant Hire, Mainsphere, THS Ltd, Bluesky, Betts Associates, Bogans Carpets, DTM Legal, H&H Celcon and Ibstock Bricks. Prizes were also donated by Flip Out Trampoline Centre in Ellesmere Port, Reaseheath Zoo, The Architect, Story House Theatre, Dollimore Photography and Go Ape.

Archway Homes is currently building and selling homes at Willaston, near Nantwich; Neston and Eastham, with planned developments in Salterswall, and Little Stanney, near Ellesmere Port.
