Work Gets Underway

11/04/2016

Following Archway Homes' pledge to support local charitable causes we have built a relationship with CATH, Chester Aid to the Homeless, http://www.cath.org.uk and been having discussions about ways in which we can help.

One idea was that Crispin House, a shared house offering supported accommodation for the homeless, was in a need of a bit of tlc, so we got to work speaking to our contacts to see what could be done.

This week work has begun with painters giving each of the rooms a fresh lick of paint and re-glossing the woodwork. The renovation will also include new carpets, a good clean throughout as well as a tidy up of the front and back gardens and a new colour on the fencing.

It has been a big collaboration between CATH, Archway Homes and some of their subcontractors, including Smalley Painters, Bogans Carpets, Bluesky Plumbing and Houseproud Cleaning, all of whom are offering their services at discounted rates in support of the project. A big thank you also goes to Crispin House’s neighbours, The Architect, who are very kindly allowing our workers to use their carpark for the duration of the project http://www.brunningandprice.co.uk/architect/.

Watch this space for the before and after photos when the project is complete!
